Dramatic dashcam footage filmed by a Welsh motorist shows the moment an coming car lost control and flipped twice.
According to reports, the female driver of the car escaped with only minor injuries.
Her vehicle lost control on the B5381 between Trefnant and St Asaph in Wales.
The incident was captured on Norman Drinkwater’s dashcam at 11.30am on Saturday.
Drinkwater, a shop owner who was travelling with his dog when the incident occurred, said the woman was "lucky to be alive".
Describing the terrifying moment, Drinkwater said: "I passed by as the car was spinning in mid-air to the side of me. It hit my car as it landed.
"I stopped and called the ambulance and the lady was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"She is a local lady and I spoke to her husband later on and he told me she they thought she may have injured her back but she was allowed home an hour later.
"It must've been really scary for her."
The road was closed by police for two hours, during which time the Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) attended the injured woman. A WAS spokeswoman said: "An ambulance attended and a woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution."
While such road accidents are shocking, the UK has one of the best road traffic accident records in the world. In terms of road fatalities per 100,000 inhabitants each year, the UK has the fourth lowest rate, just behind Monaco, the Federated States of Micronesia and Sweden.
The violence of the crash also serves as a reminder of how far car safety technology has come in recent decades.
