A new low-emission Euro 5 engine is one of the main additions to the updated Nissan NV400 van range, together with several pieces of new equipment.
Chassis, tipper and dropside conversions can now feature single 2.3-litre turbo-diesel engines. An 8g/km emission improvement has been delivered in this powertrain, compared to the outgoing engine.
Standard kit includes power mirrors, front electric windows, deadlocks, Bluetooth, USB connectors, an FM audio setup and cargo floor load-mounting hooks.
Panel van, crew van, tipper and dropside conversions now feature an upgraded Thatcham-approved Cat 1 alarm.
The crew van, SE grade panel van and crew bus SE types now boast central locking.
Speaking about the new van's credentials, Nissan's corporate sales director Barry Beeston said: “The improvements to the NV400 will further increase its appeal to businesses both large and small. Its comfort and reliability on long journeys is now matched by the efficiency of a high performance engine, which will deliver tangible cost savings."
He also highlighted the new deadlock and alarm features of the NV400, aimed at providing drivers with a sense of security when they leave their vehicle's unattended.
As many of our van breakdown cover customers will be aware, the French built NV400 – essentially a re-badged Renault Master – is also sold under the Opel/Vauxhall badges, as the Movano.
The van is available in a wide range of weight, length and height configurations, as well as being able to transport up to 4.5 tons.
