It's one of the greatest names in car festivals in the UK, indeed Europe. But that's no use if you can't work out how to get there. Luckily, here at startrescue.co.uk, we've put together a little guide to help make sure every petrol head can get his or her automotive fix.
The most important thing you should know about Goodwood, is that it's near Chichester, in the county of Sussex.
By Car (ensuring your car breakdown cover is up to date before you set off!):
Travelling from London: head towards Guildford on the A3, then take the A283 towards Petworth. Next,
join the A285 to Chichester for about six miles. The Goodwood Park Hotel will be signposted.
From the east: Once you've joined the A27 towards Chichester, follow signs for Halnaker and Boxgrove. Having travelled through the village, stay on the road for around half a mile, take a left at the T-junction, and you'll find Goodwood Park Hotel on your right side.
From the west, take the A27 to Chichester. Upon arrival, stay on the A27 by-pass/ring road. Once you reach the roundabouts, follow signs for Goodwood Park Hotel. You'll by pass the Goodwood Motor Circuit as you head towards the hotel.
The car park, which is free, opens from 6.30am.
By Coach
If you book in advance, this is one of the most economical ways to reach Chichester: National Express run coaches here.

By Rail
If you book in advance, travelling by rail will unfortunately not be the most economical way to reach Goodwood, but it will still save you a few pounds. Buy tickets and find information at the National Rail website.

Goodwood-bound buses and taxis can be taken from the station.
