A startrescue.co.uk story...

Cars aren't just about checking your engine oil, fretting over petrol pump prices and finding a good deal on your car breakdown policy - they're about fun, too. And few other festivals demonstratehow much fun they are than the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Moving Motor Show and Goodwood Revival.

As ever, an eye-popping selection of road and race cars have been lined up for this year's show, which were unveiled to the press recently. The Festival of Speed and The Goodwood Moving Motor Show take place from 28 June to 1st July, while Revival fans will have to wait until 14-16 September to get their fix. Of course, there'll be many among you who will try to enjoy all of these - and this particular writer is no exception.

Among the many highlights will be a Lotus-Lamborghini Formula One car, driven by Derek Warwick, Martin Donnelly and Johnny Herbert.

Press were also drawn towards an ex-Le Mans 1965 Ford GT40, which raced at Le Mans, as well as a 1990 Jaguar XJR12.

Also on view were a selection of rally cars, including the Metro 6R4, which will be taking part in the Forest Rally Stage - an increasingly popular event at the festival over the last few years.

It promises to be a spectacular year at Goodwood, with some stunning classic cars on show.
