The National Motor Museum’s Simply Bond event starts on the 29th July, which will be the largest gathering of James Bond vehicles ever organised. The event is part of the museum’s Bond in Motion exhibition and showcases a whole range of vehicles that have featured in James Bond films.

But the organisers haven’t stopped there. They’ve invited anyone with a model of car that has featured in a Bond film to come along. But don’t worry, if you are lucky enough to own a classic DB5 or a Z3, you won’t be expected to have modifications such as bullet proof windows or revolving number plates.

There will be a cavalcade of all the Bond vehicles present, and a People's Choice special edition Beaulieu Trophy will be awarded to the most popular car.

One of the vehicles featured is the Aston Martin DBS stunt car that rolled seven and three quarter turns in Casino Royale, breaking the Guinness World Record. Another is the submersible Lotus Esprit S1. The whole selection, in fact, is a reminder of how many scrapes Mr Bond gets into on-screen, a man who is less inclined to buy breakdown insurance, preferring instead to get a good third party, fire and theft policy.

The Bond in Motion exhibition is displaying 50 Bond vehicles until the exhibition’s end in December. Those turning up to Simply Bond in a Bond vehicle will enjoy 50% off ticket prices (£10 for an adult, £5 for a child).
